TAMPA - Two Tampa-area men are in custody and charged with attempted first-degree murder after a fight reportedly broke out between two groups Saturday night in Valrico.
According to Hillsborough County sheriff's office reports, Justin Paul Bryan, 24, of Valrico arrived at the residential area of 1101 E. Bloomingdale Ave. along with Lindsay Forrest Tillbrook, 18, of Brandon, both intending to fight another group of individuals.
Bryan shot two rounds from a .45-caliber handgun into the air, then fired multiple shots at the other group as they fled, police reports say, and one shot hit an unidentified 17-year-old victim in the left wrist. Bryan acknowledged firing the shots, reports state.
Bryan, listed as a convicted felon, was released from the Florida State Penitentiary on Aug. 22, 2007, the reports say. After the incident, the reports state, Tillbrook sent a text message to Bryan warning him not to go home where authorities would find him.
Both were held in Orient Road Jail late Sunday.
