A 27-year-old woman died in a single-vehicle accident early this morning in Pasco County but two toddlers in the sports utility vehicle received only minor injuries, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Tracy Renee Weeks of Wesley Chapel was driving south on Curley Road about 3 a.m. today when she failed to make a curve about 800 feet south of Leonard Road. The right tires left the pavement and the vehicle went into a spin when Weeks overcorrected, the highway patrol said.
The Chevrolet sports utility vehicle spun off the road and ran into a tree on the passenger side, the accident report said.
The children, Travin Lee, 2, and Kaiden Lee, 1, both of Wesley Chapel received minor injuries and were taken to Pasco Regional Hospital, the highway patrol said.
The accident remains under investigation. The report did not state the relationship between Weeks and the children.
Weeks was not wearing a seatbelt but the children were restrained, the report said.
