Farm Share Holiday Food Giveaway Is Dec. 12 In Pasco

Local farmers will give low-income families a helping hand Dec. 12 at the annual Farm Share Holiday Food Giveaway in New Port Richey.

Fresh food, including donations from Florida farmers, will be available for eligible residents, including those on Medicaid and food stamps. The giveaway is set for 10 a.m. to noon at the North Trinity Self Parking Lot, Center of Seven Springs Shopping Center, at Little Road and Old State Road 54.

"We are once again blessed to work with farmers throughout Florida to provide food at this special time of the year," state Sen. Mike Fasano, R-New Port Richey, says in a written statement announcing the event.
