Tampa Man Charged In Beating Of Teen With Cord, Belt

TAMPA - A 13-year-old girl was beaten with an electrical cord and belt Sunday night by her mother's boyfriend after she ran away from home, Hillsborough County deputies say.
Corbett Bailey, 24, of Tampa, was arrested about 12:11 a.m. today. He was charged with aggravated child abuse.
The girl suffered welts, marks and bruises Sunday as a result of the attack, deputies say.
Bailey remained in Orient Road Jail today. His bail has not been set.
