Development Leader Hired

TAMPA - An economic development executive from Norfolk, Va., will lead Hillsborough County's efforts to attract and retain companies in the county.
The Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce has chosen Keith Norden, a senior vice present of the Hampton Roads Economic Development Alliance, to be the executive managing director of the Committee of One Hundred.
Norden will start work in Tampa on Jan. 5, said Joe House, the chamber's interim chief executive officer. House said Norden's salary is still being negotiated and will be paid by the county and Tampa.
The Tribune was unable to reach Norden on Tuesday afternoon, but his profile on the Hampton Roads Economic Development Alliance's Web site says Norden has been with the organization since 1997.
