The business software company Sage Software has started a second round of layoffs in Tampa Bay. Sage operates a medical software operation in Tampa, and in July cut 135 workers, bringing ranks there to about 365 workers now.
Now the company will cut an additional 20 from its St. Petersburg facility which had 240 workers in its human resources software division. Those most-recent cuts are part of 150 layoffs across the company's roughly 5,000 employee work force in the United States, according to John Schoutsen, vice president of corporate communications.
