Foreclosure Counseling Is Planned

Homeowners facing foreclosure will have a chance this weekend to get some advice - straight from lenders and housing counselors.
A Foreclosure Assistance Workshop is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Ybor City campus of the Hillsborough Community College. The school is at the corner of 14th Street and Palm Avenue.
The event, sponsored by Congresswoman Kathy Castor, is intended to give homeowners one-on-one counseling. The lender participants include Bank of America, Washington Mutual and Wells Fargo.
Other participants include the Catholic Charities Diocese of St. Petersburg, Consumer Credit Counseling Service of the Florida Gulf Coast and the Corporation to Develop Communities of Tampa.
