State Fair Needs Performers For 'Tribute To Halftime'

TAMPA - Feel the need to break out that Prince or Steve Tyler impersonation? Or maybe you're just a really good dancer.

If so, the Florida State Fair wants you to audition for "Blitz: A Tribute to Halftime Shows," the headline performance at this year's fair. The fair's theme is "Touchdown, Tampa Bay."

Auditions will be held Dec. 13 at the Florida Center at the Florida State Fairgrounds.

Registration for dancers begins at 10 a.m., with auditions starting at 11. Participants should be prepared to stay until 3 p.m.

The show needs Las Vegas showgirl-style dancers trained in jazz and tap and are comfortable performing in heels. It is preferred that dancers be at least 5 feet 6 inches tall.

Registration for singers begins at 2 p.m., with auditions starting at 3. Those auditioning should have two selections prepared and bring their own music (without lead vocals). Performers cannot lip sync.

If you impersonate an artist that has appeared in a Super Bowl halftime show, send a photo with performance promotional material prior by Dec. 13 to Four Star Entertainment, Glitz Casting, 2211 S.W. 49th St., Cape Coral FL 33914.
