Published: December 5, 2008

Get a flu shot for the price of two nonperishable food items — more if you're feeling generous — Dec. 15 through 20 at Bayfront Convenient Care Clinics in Pinellas County.

The offer is open to ages 2 and older, and the food goes to the St. Petersburg Free Clinic.

It's not too late to benefit from the vaccination, since flu season doesn't peak till February. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend anyone who wants to avoid the uncomfortable — and sometimes life-threatening — illness get a shot, especially children through 19 years old and adults 50 and older.
