TAMPA - While Virginia Tech and Boston College fans started filtering into Raymond James Stadium today, a couple of men outside trying to peddle their wares ended up trading in their visions of profits for handcuffs.
Shortly before 11 a.m., a Hillsborough deputy caught Rodney Lamont Gratton on Woodlawn Avenue near Himes Avenue with 340 counterfeit Atlantic Coast Conference T-shirts, a report states.
At 12:10 p.m. Tampa police say they spotted Kenneth "Bo" Allen Youmans trying to sell 20 unlicensed Virginia Tech and Boston College T-shirts in various sizes for $10 apiece.
It wasn't clear whether the two incidents are related.
Gratton, 42, of Detroit, was arrested on a felony charge of forging or counterfeiting private labels. He was being held at the Orient Road Jail today with bail set at $2,000.
Youmans, 38, of Columbia, S.C., was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of counterfeiting private labels. He was also being held at the Orient Road Jail with bail set at $500.
