Man Charged In Battery Of Pregnant Girlfriend

Plant City police arrested a 19-year-old man Saturday night on charges he grabbed his pregnant girlfriend and slapped his 2-year-old daughter.
Police said Pedro Delacruz got into an argument with his girlfriend about 9:30 p.m. at a home on Sammonds Road in Plant City.
During the argument, he grabbed the girlfriend who is pregnant with his child around the waist and abdomen, the arrest report said. He also slapped their daughter in the face, the report said.
He was arrested at 2313 Thonotosassa Road about an hour later, police said.
Delacruz is in the Orient Road Jail charged with aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, a felony, and misdemeanor child abuse, jail records show. He is being held without bond.
