ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Suddenly, Michigan isn't a rebuilding team.

DeShawn Sims scored a career-high 28 points, leading the Wolverines to an 81-73 victory over No. 4 Duke on Saturday.

The Wolverines (6-2) beat then-No. 4 UCLA last month before losing 71-56 to the Blue Devils (8-1) in the 2K Sports Classic final.

Duke made just three of 27 3-point attempts before connecting on four in a row to pull within four points in the final minute. Michigan made enough free throws to seal the upset, and hundreds of fans from the sellout crowd rushed the court.

INDIANAPOLIS - Evan Turner scored a career-high 28 points and Ohio State (5-0) spoiled Luke Harangody's return to the lineup with a victory against Notre Dame (6-2), the unbeaten Buckeyes' second consecutive upset of a ranked opponent.

Harangody led Notre Dame with 25 points and 16 rebounds, but Ohio State took a 30-28 lead at halftime and built the margin to as many as 10 in the second half.

NO. 9 PURDUE 90,

ARK.-PINE BLUFF 42

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - JaJuan Johnson scored a career-high 20 points, and Purdue (6-2) defeated Arkansas-Pine Bluff (0-7).

NO. 20 GEORGETOWN 73,

AMERICAN 49

WASHINGTON - Georgetown (5-1) beat American University (4-4), coasting late after a dominant first half in which the 20th-ranked Hoyas hounded the Eagles into 20 percent shooting, more than twice as many turnovers as field goals, and only 12 points.
