Police: 2 Puppies Stolen

TAMPA - Two men broke into the All About Puppies store on North Dale Mabry Highway on Tuesday, police say, and stole two puppies - a brown and black English bulldog and a black Puggle, a Pug/beagle hybrid.

The bulldog is valued at $3,000, and the Puggle is valued at $1,000, police said.

The men shattered the front glass door of the store at 13705 N. Dale Mabry Highway about 6:30 p.m. Surveillance video shows them dressed in black, with black gloves and ski masks.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477).

Teen Killed, 3 Injured In Crash

An early morning crash killed one Plant City teen and injured three others Sunday.

Juan Sanchez, 18, died about 12:30 a.m. after his car was hit by a vehicle that ran the stop sign at Rogers Road and U.S. 92.

Passenger Ariel Laboy, 17, sustained critical injuries, while Samantha Wood, 18, was seriously injured, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Eric Layton, 19, was injured critically after running the stop sign, according to the highway patrol.

The injured teens were taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

Man Tossed From Motorcycle, Dies

A 30-year-old man died Saturday night after he hit a concrete median on Memorial Causeway and was thrown from his motorcycle, according to Clearwater police.

The road was shut down just before 11:30 p.m., as units from the Clearwater Fire Department and Clearwater police responded to the crash. Traffic flow resumed shortly after 4 a.m.Matthew Gwaltney, of East 97th Avenue in Tampa, died at the scene. He had been wearing a helmet when he crashed, but it came off when he hit a light pole, according to police said.
