ABOUT FLORIDA: No. 2 ranked in the BCS poll with a 12-1 record. Gators score, score and score lots of points (45 per game). Led by quarterback Tim Tebow, a leading candidate to win the Heisman Trophy for a second consecutive season. Defeated Alabama 31-20 Saturday night to win the Southeastern Conference title. Defense overshadowed by big-play offensive counterpart, but gives up ground grudgingly and has knack for causing turnovers.

ABOUT OKLAHOMA: No. 1 ranked in the BCS poll with a 12-1 record. Sooners score, score and score lots of points (54 per game). Led by quarterback Sam Bradford, a leading candidate to win the Heisman Trophy. Defeated Missouri 62-21 Saturday night to win the Big 12 Conference title. Defense still a question mark in a points-happy conference that, across the board, never showed an ability to shut down opponents.
