TAMPA - The Tampa Fire Marshal's Office is investigating a suspicious fire that caused $20,000 damage to a house at 19th Street and 23rd Avenue, authorities say.
Tampa Fire Rescue crews arrived at the scene at 6:46 p.m. Monday and saw that the one-story house was 25 percent involved in fire. Firefighters had the blaze at 1809 E. 23rd Ave. under control in about 20 minutes, authorities say.
No one was hurt.
Fire marshals have determined the cause of the fire to be suspicious and the incident is under investigation.
