Talk about missed chances.
Not only did the Buccaneers fail to impress a rare national television audience, but they missed an opportunity to take sole possession of first place in the NFC South in Monday night's 38-23 loss to the Carolina Panthers. Scoring chances slipped through the Bucs' fingers and running backs slipped through the defense's arms as the Panthers rushed for nearly 300 yards.
Tampa Bay (9-4) had its four-game winning streak snapped. The loss sets up yet another division showdown this Sunday as the Bucs travel to Atlanta holding a slim, one-game lead over the Falcons for second place.
