A Plant City home was used to grow 73 marijuana plants, Hillsborough County deputies say.
Deputies used a search warrant Monday afternoon at 1109 E. Knights Griffin Road and found marijuana buds drying in one room and 73 plants in another. The room with the plants also had grow lights, a water system and an air conditioning unit.
An investigator also found a power tap within the meter.
At 3:45 p.m. Monday, deputies arrested Agustin Cupon-Diaz, 33, of Plant City, and Yurisander Espina, 30, of Tampa.
Each was charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and trafficking in marijuana. Cupon-Diaz, who lives at the home where the marijuana was found, also was charged with theft of electricity.
The men remained in Orient Road Jail today. No bail had been set.
