SEMINOLE - Three people were taken to the hospital this morning after a minivan collided with a school bus that was not carrying students, officials said.
The minivan's driver was taken to Bayfront Medical Center, and one of the children in the vehicle was taken to All Children's Hospital, said Alison Shanabrook, spokeswoman for Seminole Fire Rescue. Two other children in the minivan were examined but not transported to the hospital.
The school bus driver was transported to St. Petersburg General Hospital, Shanabrook said.
The wreck happened at 7:44 a.m. at Starkey Road and Flamevine Avenue. The minivan was northbound on Starkey when it collided with the school bus, which was trying to enter the intersection, Shanabrook said.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.
