Deputies say they discovered about 100 marijuana plants growing in the backyard of a Seminole home today.
Pinellas County deputies arrested Garret A. Harrison, 18, and Latiff Khan, both of 10581 Valencia Rd. in Seminole, on charges of manufacturing and cultivating marijuana plants. Harrison also faces charges of marijuana possession.
A person called the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office after driving around the neighborhood and seeing the men act "suspiciously," deputies said.
Deputies caught up with Harrison and Khan at a convenience store in the afternoon. They returned to the rented house with the men and found nearly 100 small marijuana plants growing in the backyard, the sheriff's office said. Some of the plants were potted and others were planted in the ground.
The pair was arrested and taken to the Pinellas County Jail where Harrison has yet to post $5,250 bail and Khan, $5,000 bail.
