Dunedin High School was placed on lockdown this morning as Pinellas Sheriff's deputies investigated a death threat, Pinellas Sheriff's officials said.
Deputies arrived at the school at 1651 Pinehurst Road at about 11:40 a.m., to investigate the threat, and the school was temporarily put in lockdown status, sheriff's officials say. That meant no one could leave the school.
An employee at the school was the one who received the threat, the sheriff's office said, and a person was arrested off-campus, the sheriff's office said. The suspect was never in the vicinity of the school.
