THE DARK KNIGHT
Does this one really need an introduction? From Heath Ledger's scary final performance as the unhinged Joker to the record-breaking box office, Christopher Nolan's follow-up to "Batman Begins" has already claimed its place in pop culture history. Now you can watch it again and debate the movie's underlying message or just stare at Christian Bale. PG-13, 152 minutes

HORTON HEARS A WHO!
This animated rendition of the Dr. Seuss classic is less manic than live-action predecessors "The Grinch" and "The Cat in the Hat." It also has the advantage of not starring a showboating comedian in faux fur, though Jim Carrey is on board as the voice of the elephant who discovers a planet in a speck of dust. Steve Carell is the mayor of Who-ville. G, 86 minutes

LOST: SEASON 4
Although the title of this series sometimes has seemed more descriptive of its writers than the tormented cast aways trapped on a island, the dark, abbreviated fourth season (14 episodes instead of the usual two dozen) gathered some of the dangling narrative threads into what many regarded as a return to form. Extras include bloopers and cast commentary. Not rated, 604 minutes
