A Palm Harbor woman was arrested Monday afternoon on charges she left her four daughters alone for two days while she went to break up with a boyfriend, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
Mary Jackson, 30, was charged with four counts of child neglect, according to jail records. She was being held at Pinellas County Jail, and bail was set at $20,000.
Jackson left the girls – ages 12,10,7 and 6 – on Saturday, sheriff's officials say. On Monday, they were on their way to school when deputies tracked them down after receiving a complaint, officials say.
The girls were in good physical condition, but their home was in disarray, with dirty dishes piling up and containers of garbage, sheriff's officials said.
