RIVERVIEW - Identical twins Kayla and Courtney Webb have always attended school together, including the last four years at Riverview High School.
That will change next year. Kayla will play soccer for Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, and Courtney will attend Hillsborough Community College.
"It's unbelievable for me because I've been playing soccer since I was 6, and playing soccer in college has always been a dream of mine," said Kayla, a defender for the Sharks varsity girls soccer team the past four years.
Kayla shared the soccer pitch with her twin before they got to Riverview.
"They've always been very competitive, and they've been very loyal to their own sports," said their mother, Alicia.
Courtney stopped playing soccer when she got to high school in favor of joining the cheerleading squad.
"I had stopped [cheerleading] for a few years to play soccer," said Courtney, who is one minute older than Kayla. "I love it because I enjoy competing and going to the football games."
The sisters credit each other for helping balance athletics and academics.
"We helped each other out as much as we could, and we always will," Kayla said.
