It's the invitation everybody who's anybody from Tallahassee to Tampa hoped to find in their mailbox last month, and a St. Petersburg design duo created it.
"It's a beautiful invitation. I think it's appropriate for their event," said Amy Willoughby, co-owner of Not From a Box, which designs custom stationery for everything from bar mitzvahs to bridal showers.
Willoughby and business partner Britta Spanke designed wedding invitations, ceremony programs and menu and place cards for Gov. Charlie Crist's wedding to fiancee Carole Rome on Friday.
Although the event is arguably Florida's wedding of the year, Willoughby insisted the state's future first couple didn't put on any airs.
"They're just like any other engaged couple," Willoughby said. "After those first few minutes we felt like we were meeting with a typical bride and groom."
The pale pink and cream invitation is printed on ivory matte paper, and features a custom designed monogram with four fleur de lis on the front. It has nine pieces, including a satin ribbon, response card and a separate small card asking guests to refrain from bringing gifts "due to state law."
Willoughby said that although the governor's wedding isn't the biggest job they've ever had, it is the most high-profile.
"We're very excited, obviously, because something like this certainly does not happen every day," she said.
