Polk Sheriff's Office Seeks Help Finding Missing Woman, 82

Polk County Sheriff's Office detectives are asking the public's help in locating an 82-year-old woman whose family has not seen her for six months.

Mabel A. Pugliese, of 7993 Oak Run Circle, Lakeland, was reported missing on Sunday by a family member.

According to the sheriff's office, Pugliese's relatives say they have not been in contact with her for about six months. Detectives have confirmed that she was at her Lakeland home on July 13.

Pugliese lived at the Oak Run Circle home with Edward Caldwell, 35, who told detectives he thought she was in Connecticut. But when relatives contacted Pugliese's friends in Connecticut, the friends said they had not seen or heard from her.

Pugliese is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. She has gray hair and hazel eyes. She is in moderate health and usually uses a walker or wheelchair.
