Tampa Airport's On-Time Flight Ranking Improves

TAMPA - Both the rate of on-time arrivals and departures of flights at Tampa International Airport improved in October compared with a year ago, data released today by the U.S. Department of Transportation showed.

Flights departed Tampa International 88.6 percent of the time within 15 minutes of scheduled departure, the DOT's standard for on-time performance. That ranked Tampa International 14th nationwide among major airports.

Flights arrived on time at Tampa International 85.9 percent of the time, which earned Tampa International a ranking of 20th nationwide.
