TAMPA - About 400 people gathered today for a luncheon and fashion show that included wives of former Tampa Bay Buccaneers players and other local celebrities as models to benefit the St. Joseph's Hospitals Foundation.
The 20th Georgette's holiday fashion show is expected to reach last year's fund-raising amount of $25,000, said Deborah Kotch, president of the foundation.
The show included silent and live auctions, lunch and the fashion show, featuring outfits from Georgette's & The Shoe Salon.
Among the models were Monica Culpepper (wife of former Buc Brad Culpepper), Raunda Williams (wife of Doug Williams) and Michelle Pierson (wife of Pete Pierson). Kristen Renton, from "Days of Our Lives," also modeled.
This year, the celebrity fashion show benefits St. Joseph's Children's Hospital. Each year, the event helps a different part of St. Joseph's Hospitals. This is the fifth year St. Joseph's foundation was beneficiary of the event.
The money will be used to pay for a program at the hospital designed to make the time the children spend there as normal as possible, Kotch said.
In addition to the money, the event raises awareness of St. Joseph's.
"It helps us make friends," Kotch said.
Gayle Sierens of News Channel 8 was the master of ceremonies.
