Justin Maza pointed a firearm at a person Wednesday night and ordered him back inside a Tijuana Flats restaurant in Brandon, Hillsborough County deputies say.
He held four people at gunpoint there, refusing to let them leave, and made a motion to one of the people to give him money, according to a criminal arrest affidavit. Maza, 19, later ran from the restaurant, 11007 Causeway Blvd.
The incident began at 10:40 p.m. Wednesday, and deputies arrested Maza at 12:04 a.m. today.
The Brandon man was charged with four counts of false imprisonment and aggravated assault with a firearm and one count each of armed kidnapping and armed robbery.
Deputies recovered the firearm and clothing Maza used during the robbery, and all four victims identified Maza as the person who kept them at the restaurant, according to the arrest affidavit.
Maza remained at Orient Road Jail today. His bail had not been set.
