USF and our wonderful Bulls continue to shine in our hearts!
Throughout this football season, Athletic Director Doug Woolard, Coach Jim Leavitt and the USF Athletic Department hosted several of our severely wounded troops - our heroes being treated at the James A. Haley VA Hospital.
We are blessed to have one of the nation's premier Polytrauma Rehabilitation Centers - renowned for spinal cord and severe brain injuries - within Haley. Consistently, there are 15 to 25 severely wounded troops recovering and rehabbing for weeks, months and even over a year.
Getting out and cheering for our Bulls at Raymond James Stadium is uplifting, so much fun and also important therapeutically to their recovery. It's meaningful to these great Americans as well as their families to enjoy events such as a football game.
From the bottom of our hearts, thanks to USF, the Athletic Department and the team. Your warm embrace and kindness toward our wounded heroes reaffirm the true champions you are.
