Teen Shot In Leg By Rider At Tampa Apartment Complex

A 17-year-old boy was shot in the upper left thigh Wednesday night.
Officers say Terrico Newsome was standing at the entrance to the Jackson Court apartments in Tampa as four people sat inside a 1990 blue Mercury Sable nearby. Two of the vehicle's occupants got out and approached Newsome.
Newsome jumped on his bicycle and rode off.
He later stood in front of an apartment at 3844 E. Lindell St. with a couple of friends when one of the Mercury's occupants came around the corner of the vehicle and fired once at Newsome.
Newsome was taken to Tampa General Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.
