I know it's the season for giving — and that getting is supposed to be secondary when you're older than, say, 12. But, really, who doesn't spend a wee bit of time mulling over what they themselves might find under the tree?
Of course, as you get older, the things you want — or feel you "need" — get bigger and more expensive — not to mention less likely to actually fit under the tree.
For example, I would be very happy to get a new bathroom this year. Or, at least, the promise of a remodel. And after reading Mary Lou Janson's story about her recent bathroom renovation (page 12), I'm planning to drop some not-so-subtle hints — and this section – on my hubby today.
Steamy Kitchen columnist Jaden Hair (page xx) makes no bones about her family tradition that everyone should get exactly what they want for the holidays — even if they sometimes end up buying "the beautiful perfect it" for themselves. I'm with her.
OK, enough said. I think we all see where I'm going with this. There's definitely a tajmahtoilet (page xx) in my future. Or a cottagemahtoilet, anyway.
