A 20-year-old St. Petersburg man was arrested today on a first-degree murder charge in an Oct. 9 shooting, Hillsborough County deputies say.
Jacob Buckius also was charged with robbery when he was arrested at 4 p.m. at 2224 N. Falkenburg Road.
The shooting occurred about 10:37 p.m. Oct. 9 near Lake Azure Apartments, 8401 Maple Flower Lane.
Jonathan Hinckson, 23, of Tampa, was at an adjacent apartment complex when shots were fired, and he was seen returning to the Lake Azure property through a hole in the fence, a sheriff's office news release states.
Hinckson collapsed and was taken to Tampa General Hospital. He died the next day, sheriff's spokesman J.D. Callaway said.
Callaway said Buckius isn't the only suspect in the shooting.
"We're still looking for some other guys," Callaway said. "We believe it was all drug-related."
