TAMPA Investigators are searching for a Virginia couple they say murdered a man earlier this week and may be hiding here.

Deputies say Jason Betts and Mithrellas "Relli" Curtis fled from Smyth County, Va., after Betts broke into the man's house on Monday, stabbed him to death and seriously injured three others – two women and a man.

Betts is also wanted in a robbery and assault in North Carolina. Curtis is believed to be helping him. The couple was last seen fleeing in a stolen maroon-colored Nissan Quest minivan bearing a Virginia dealer tag, 10424.

"Based on information from the Marshall's Office, we understand that they are armed and extremely dangerous," Hillsborough Sheriff's Det. Lisa Haber said.

Betts was described as white, 24, 6-feet, 2-inches tall, 160 pounds and with brown hair, green eyes and tattoos on his right upper arm, back and right and left hands.

Curtis is white, 23, 5-feet, 4-inches tall, 165 pounds, and with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone with information as to their whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers, 1-800-873-TIPS (8477) or go to www.crimestopperstb.com or send a text message to CRIMES (274637), keyword Tip155 and the message.
