SAM BRADFORD
OKLAHOMA QB
STATISTICS: 302-for-442, 4,464 yards, 68.3 completion percentage, 48 touchdown passes, 6 interceptions
WHY HE SHOULD WIN IT: Bradford has thrown the most touchdowns and the third-most passing yards of any quarterback in the nation. He also led an offense that tallied at least 60 points in five straight games.
WHY HE WON'T: Unlike the other two top contenders, Bradford is a one-dimensional threat. Opposing defenses don't have to worry about him taking off and running with the ball too often.
COLT McCOY
TEXAS QB
STATISTICS: 291-for-375, 3,445 yards, 77.6 completion percentage, 32 touchdown passes, 7 interceptions
WHY HE SHOULD WIN IT: McCoy might go down as the most efficient passer in the history of college football. His completion rate leads the nation, and his 576 rushing yards leads his team.
WHY HE WON'T: His passing yards and touchdowns thrown are impressive, but nowhere near what Bradford posted. It doesn't help that Texas isn't playing for the national title.
TIM TEBOW
FLORIDA QB
STATISTICS: 174-for-268, 2,515 yards, 64.9 completion percentage, 28 touchdown passes, 2 interceptions
WHY HE SHOULD WIN IT: Tebow played phenomenally down the stretch in leading Florida to a BCS title game berth. He threw for three touchdowns in a victory over previously undefeated Alabama in the SEC Championship Game.
WHY HE WON'T: His passing numbers aren't comparable to what he recorded en route to winning the Heisman last year. They also don't come close to matching the stats of the other two finalists.
