The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that Brian Griese will start in place of Jeff Garcia, who was deactivated for their game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Bucs QB Luke McCown will backup Griese, while QB Josh Johnson will be the third string QB.
In addition, WR Joey Galloway was deactivated for Sunday's game against Atlanta, but no reason was was given. Galloway did not appear on Tampa Bay's injury report this week, so we are unsure if he sustained an injury over the weekend or if there was another reason for the move.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers DT Chris Hovan will not play and Jimmy Wilkerson will start in his place, but DT Jovan Haye will play on Sunday.
Tampa Bay's other deactivated players are:
WR Dexter Jackson
RB Noah Herron
LB Matt McCoy
OL Jeremy Zuttah
