Tribune's All-Hillsborough County Swimming & Diving Teams

ABOUT THE TEAMS: The Tribune's All-Hillsborough County boys and girls swimming and diving teams were selected by staff writer Katherine Smith. The selections were based on regular-season and postseason performances.

The boys and girls swimmers of the year, and boys and girls coaches of the year will be announced at the Tribune's annual Parade of Athletes banquet in May.

BOYS

FIRST TEAM

200 Yard Medley Relay: Newsome (Jason Taylor, Brandon Crawford, Jacob Bukaweski, Hayden Parker) - the 1:42.66 time they turned in at the state championships was good for eighth place and a medal.

200 Freestyle: Jason Taylor, Sr., Newsome - Taylor won a silver medal at state with an All-America time of 1:38.63.

200 Individual Medley: Conor Swanson, Sr., Sickles - His state champion time of 1:48.92 was good enough for All-America status.

50 Free: Gregg Cooke, Sr., Sickles - Cooke won the bronze medal with his automatic All-America time of 21.01.

Diving: Kyle Dent, Sr., Berkeley Prep - won the gold at the Class 1A championships with a 508.75.

100 Butterfly: Dylan Attal, Jr., Jesuit - Followed up a fourth place at regionals with a time of 54.68 at state.

100 Free: Cooke - His 46.53 time at state was good enough for All-America consideration.

500 Free: Taylor - set a state record with his gold-medal time of 4:23.42.

200 Free Relay: Sickles (Andrew Howard, Trey Went III, Conor Swanson, Gregg Cooke) 1:25.31 - won the silver medal at state with that All-America time.

100 Backstroke: Tyler Ball, Sr., East Bay - His time of 53.97 placed him 11th at state.

100 Breaststroke: Swanson - grabbed his second gold medal at state with an All-America time of 56.29.

400 Free Relay: Sickles (Howard, Went, Swanson, Cooke) - won the bronze at state with an All-America time of 3:09.97.

SECOND TEAM

200 Yard Medley Relay: Sickles (Ryan Poteat, Stephen Frey, Jake Kunkel, Went); 200 Freestyle: Vinny Donnelly, Sr., Jesuit; 200 Individual Medley: Patrick Gilbreath, Jr., Wharton; 50 Free: Jordan Rees, Jr., Wharton; Diving: Nicholas Wing-Holt, Jr., Bloomingdale; 100 Butterfly: Bukaweski; 100 Free: Rees; 500 Free: Donnelly; 200 Free Relay: Jesuit (John Simon, Attal, Chris Swanson, Donnelly); 100 Backstroke: Cody Wei, So., King; 100 Breaststroke: Gilbreath; 400 Free Relay: Jesuit (Simon, Attal, Swanson, Donnelly)

GIRLS

FIRST TEAM

200 Yard Medley Relay: Tampa Prep (Grace Fredlake, Carylyn Waite, Katie Carter, Emma Siewert) - placed first in the consolation finals at state with a time of 1:53.27.

200 Freestyle: Sharla Milne, Sr., Newsome - first-place finish at state in consolation finals with an All-America consideration time of 1:52.80.

200 Individual Medley: Grace Fredlake, Sr., Tampa Prep - All-America time of 2:04.94 good enough for fifth place at state.

50 Free: Meg Anderson, Sr., Plant - silver medalist at state with All-America time of 23.60.

Diving: Alexa Wollach, Newsome - won the silver medal at state with a 500.65.

100 Butterfly: Laura Jordan, Jr., Berkeley Prep - 15th at state with a time of 59.36.

100 Free: Anderson - won second medal at state, a bronze, with an All-America time of 51.06.

500 Free: Fredlake - won the bronze at state with All-America time of 4:53.83.

200 Free Relay: Plant (Anderson, Hillary Hahmann, Haley Hahmann, Rebecca Werdine) - gold medalists at state with All-America time of 1:37.62.

100 Backstroke: Katie Kyle, Sr. Newsome - finished fourth at state with All-America time of 57.31.

100 Breaststroke: Megan Smith, Fr., Wharton - finished 12th at regionals with time of 1:14.16.

400 Free Relay: Plant (Anderson, Hi. Hahmann, Ha. Hahmann, Werdine) - claimed second relay medal at state, a silver, with All-America time of 3:32.59.

SECOND TEAM
