Florida Highway Patrol troopers are investigating a Sunday morning crash on U.S. 19 that seriously injured a motorcyclist.
Ronald Paul Jaszczak, 59, of Holiday, was taken to Bayfront Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition Sunday night, the highway patrol said.
This is what happened about 8:50 a.m. at U.S. 19 and Alderman Road in Palm Harbor, according to the highway patrol:
A 2004 Hyundai four-door driven by Rose Giannetti, 83, turned south onto U.S. 19 from Alderman Road. Jaszczak was going south on U.S. 19 when the Hyundai veered into the path of his 2000 Harley-Davidson.
The Hyundai struck the motorcycle, causing it to flip. Jaszczak was pinned under the motorcycle.
Giannetti was not injured.
The crash investigation is ongoing, the highway patrol said.
