Dozens of dogs and cats available for adoption will be at the Seminole Mall today in a program sponsored by a combination of animal organizations in Pinellas County.
The event runs from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., hosted by Pinellas County Animal Partners, an alliance of animal shelters and charities.
In addition to animals being available for adoption, there will be a display of dog tricks, pet-care demonstrations and a booth where pet owners and perspective owners can ask questions of a veterinarian.
Also, people can bring their pets to meet with Santa for a photograph.
Among the organizations taking part under the umbrella of the Pinellas County Animal Partners are: Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Tampa Bay, Pinellas County Animal Services, Humane Society of Pinellas, Pet Pal Animal Shelter, Friends of Strays and the Pinellas Animal Foundation.
