MIAMI SPRINGS - Authorities say the 10-month-old son of a Miami Springs police dispatcher was killed when caught in gunfire aimed at a group of men playing dominoes.
Police say Derrick Days died soon after the Saturday shooting. Two men were also injured.
Police say a man wearing a ski mask jumped out of a white truck and opened fire on the men in a yard in northwest Miami-Dade. It's not clear where the baby was at the time or whether he was related to any of the victims.
Police confirm the mother is an employee at the department but would not release her name.
