IRVING, Texas - Tony Romo threw two touchdowns, and his New York Giants counterpart Eli Manning was sacked eight times as the Dallas Cowboys ended a week filled with talk of inner turmoil with a 20-8 victory on Sunday night.
The Cowboys defense held the Giants to 191 yards of offense as the NFC East champion Giants absorbed a second consecutive loss for first time since starting 0-2 last season.
Romo found Patrick Crayton on a 34-yard touchdown pass to open the scoring with 11:20 to play in the second quarter, and then found Deon Anderson for the fullback's first NFL touchdown on a 1-yard completion early in the fourth, putting the Cowboys up 14-3. Romo finished 20 of 30 for 244 yards.
New York pulled within a touchdown after Mathias Kiawanuka forced a safety, and John Carney kicked a 47-yard field goal, but Tashard Choice put the game away with a 38-yard touchdown run.
