TAMPA - Even after the University of South Florida's latest rout Sunday - 90-44 against North Florida - Coach Jose Fernandez said the Bulls can't afford to let up.

"We have to keep the foot on the pedal and not have a letdown," Fernandez said. "Good teams don't let other teams come into their building and you can't play down to their ability.

"We have to look at the big picture and that's how we prepare for Big East play."

USF senior guard Jazmine Sepulveda led five Bulls (8-1) in double figures with 16 points and a career-high eight steals. Senior center Brittany Denson added 12 points and eight rebounds.

The Bulls, who entered as the nation's second-highest scoring team with an 87.6 average, forced UNF (2-5) into 39 turnovers. USF is No. 1 in the nation in turnover margin (plus-15).

"The one thing I stressed was getting better defensively," said Fernandez, who evened his USF career record at 124-124. "We made North Florida turn it over in the first half, but did not convert. We did a much better job in the second half."

Jessica Lawson added 13 points, Shantia Grace had 12 and Janae Stokes 11 for the Bulls, who host Grambling on Thursday at 7 p.m.
