Three arrests have been made since a home invasion Nov. 18 that authorities say was a murder-for-hire scheme.
Jacqucia Francois, who was arrested Saturday, told investigators at the Hernando County Sheriff's Office that she wanted to be free of her husband, Fenol Francois, and inherit his assets, according to an arrest affidavit.
Investigators say she hired, through a go-between, three Orlando men to kill him at the couple's north Hernando County home, 8110 Nightwalker Road.
The plan failed when Fenol Francois left early for work Nov. 18 because he needed gasoline for his vehicle, leaving his 13-year-old son home alone, authorities say.
When the hit men arrived, they tied up the teenager and waited for Jacqucia Francois to return from her job as a Wal-Mart cashier, the affidavit states.
The men confronted Francois about her husband's absence, then returned to Orlando, the affidavit states.
The teen wasn't injured.
Francois, 46, is charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder
Only one of the three men has been arrested. Frans Guerrier, 34, is charged with armed home invasion and kidnapping. He was arrested Nov. 20.
Authorities say they are looking for two other men involved in the home invasion, Esnel Baptiste and a man listed only as Mitch in the arrest documents.
Kedner "Ken" Noel, 33, is charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and being a principal to an armed home invasion and was arrested Monday.
Editor's note: An earlier version of this story incorrectly said Jacqucia Francois was arrested Dec. 20.
