Raymond James Financial Inc. said it had no history of marketing Madoff Investment Securities and no known exposure to the alleged Ponzi scheme that may cost investors billions of dollars.
The St. Petersburg-based financial services company responded in a news release to a CNBC report on Friday that the brokerage had marketed funds in which Madoff was involved.
Raymond James said it sought a retraction to the television broadcast and an update on the CNBC website, which CNBC added Monday.
