TAMPA - Adults can get free flu shots Friday.
Tampa General Hospital's Family Care Center will administer the shots on a first-come, first-served basis from 1 to 4 p.m. The supply of vaccine is limited and will be available only to people 18 or older.
The center is at the TGH Healthpark, 5802 N. 30th St.
Up to 50,000 Tampa Bay area residents will get flu this year, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Flu can be dangerous because it invades the lungs and is highly contagious.
