Clearwater Jewelry Store Robbed At Gunpoint

Clearwater police are looking for a man they say robbed a jewelry store about 4:30 p.m. today.
The armed man walked into the Gold & Silver Xchange, 1903 Drew St., Clearwater, and demanded money and jewelry from an employee, police say. The man left after getting an undisclosed amount of cash and items and telling the employee to go to the back of the store.
Officers set up a perimeter, but canine units have yet to locate the man.
He is described as black, with a light complexion and a goatee, between 25-30 years old, about 6 feet tall and 160-180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a purple Los Angeles Lakers jersey over a long-sleeved shirt, a black ski cap and dark sunglasses.
