HUDSON - Think of it as the library's equivalent of an Olympic gold medal - Pasco County Library Director Linda Allen recently earned the I Love My Librarian Award from the Carnegie Corp. of New York and The New York Times.
Allen was among 10 librarians nationwide chosen from a field of 3,200 nominees for service to their communities.
"Librarians are even more important to their communities in this digital age," said Vartan Gregorian, president of Carnegie Corp., in a news release. "They are the people many turn to for help in navigating the complex and information-rich world of the Web where the quality of the research and reports is not always clear."
