Investigators have arrested an Orlando man in the slaying of Dontavious Griffin, who was found dead Sunday along Interstate 4 in Polk County.
Polk County Sheriff's Office detectives and Orlando police served a search warrant and arrested Joseph Walker, 22, charging him with first-degree murder, robbery with a firearm and armed kidnapping.
Investigators received a tip from a person who saw two vehicles on I-4 about the time investigators think Griffin was shot. A clerk also identified Walker as the man who used Griffin's ATM card after Griffin's death.
Walker has been booked into Orange County Jail.
Walker told police he was there when Griffin was killed and that he used Griffin's ATM card at a gas station, Polk County deputies say.
Detectives also are seeking 22-year-old Cornelius Demarcus Anderson of Orlando in connection with the case.
Anyone with information on Anderson can call the Central Florida Crimeline at 1-800-423-8477.
A man returning from work about 7:40 a.m. Sunday found Griffin's body 12 to 15 feet from the road in a rural area west of U.S. 27 and called 911.
Griffin, 21, of Orlando, was identified through fingerprints, said sheriff's spokeswoman Carrie Eleazer.
