Deputies Call Body Found In Valrico A Homicide

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating the possible slaying of a man found dead in a front yard in Valrico.

Sheriff's spokesman J.D. Callaway said the man's body was found about 8:15 this evening at 849 Rocky Mountain Court.

Neighbors reported hearing gunshots, but investigators do not yet know if that's how the man died, Callaway said. The death will be classified as a homicide, he said.

Callaway did not know whether the man lived at that address or in the area. He did not release the man's identity.
