Ad To Get Man Wife Has Him, Mom Mulling TV Options

Jason's mom (we are not using his last name) took out an ad in The Tampa Tribune to help him land a wife — or at least a few potential candidates — by Christmas. If you're interested, send a photograph and information about yourself to: Christmas Mother-in Law, P.O. Box 11802, Blacksburg VA 24062. She'll respond with a thank-you note and send each reply to her son, who says he will meet with every person.

TAMPA - Jason, the Tampa bachelor whose mom wants to find him a wife, will make his television debut Monday on the locally produced "Daytime" show.

Filming took place today in a WFLA, News Channel 8, studio. Jason ditched the ballcap and jeans and was clean-shaven for a more professional look as he spoke with co-hosts Dave Nemeth and Cyndi Edwards.

He talked about his mom, Claudia, who put an ad in The Tampa Tribune in November for a daughter-in-law. Jason said he knew about his mom's plan and figured it was an opportunity to increase his chances at meeting the right woman.

The ad caught our eye and resulted in a front-page story for the Tribune and one of the most-read stories on TBO.com. Since then, national talk show hosts from Ellen DeGeneres to Oprah have tried to land Jason and his mom.

Mother and son said they are weighing their options. They have asked us not to publish their last names for safety concerns: They don't want eager applicants showing up on their doorsteps or offices.

You can learn more about Jason when "Daytime" airs at 10 a.m. Monday on WFLA. The syndicated show runs nationwide.
