McDivitt Found Guilty In Molesting Teenage Relative

BROOKSVILLE - Jurors returned a guilty verdict Thursday against a man accused of molesting his teenage relative.

Richard McDivitt, 44, faces up to 90 years in prison for four sex-related charges on a minor under the age of 16.

The victim gave an emotional testimony Wednesday about how McDivitt inappropriately touched her. McDivitt's lawyer suggested that the victim's accusations stemmed from a grudge she had against McDivitt because he left her mother.

Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 23.
